Description: In class, we learned about the life cycle of a butterfly, then traced the outline of the wing of a butterfly, making a pattern in the wing. After that, we choose 2-3 cool OR warm colors to color the wing with. Once we are done coloring the wing with oil pastels, we use watercolors to paint the background of the butterfly.

Alternate Activity: With this activity, we could learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, then make tissue paper window clings. This is when you put tissue paper on a piece of laminating paper, then laminate the other side, then stick it to the window.
